I'll be back again the next time we're down.If It Cuts, We Carry It! SMOKY MOUNTAIN KNIFE WORKS: THE WORLD’S LARGEST KNIFE STORE Just be aware of who the interested part is, that's all I'm saying. She went back to look at the dagger again and a woman was behind the counter and got it for her. She was pretty annoyed by that and they almost lost a $200 sale. I should add that, if the woman is asking to see something and asking questions, do not look at me and answer. On the other hand, some people were super nice, very helpful, and very knowledgeable. He was even a bit snippy when I pointed out 2 that I wanted to check out (still bought both). I had to walk over to two guys that were leaning against a counter looking away from all of the customers and talking to each other, arms crossed, completely oblivious to the people walking up and looking at stuff in the counter. Some people you talk to are very nice and friendly and some act like you are annoying them. I would say they are fair priced.Ĭustomer service is both hit and miss. I wouldn't say they are a cheap place either. I looked at the Kershaw up where I'm from and it was about $5 more back home. They are not overcharging for the knives. I also bought one for her too, a slightly different blade design and a wood handle. I got a nice Victorinox cleaver for the kitchen, a Victorinox Swiss Army Knife with a wood handle, a Kershaw spring assist, and a larger fixed blade with a blue handle that I cannot recall the brand right now. She also got a spring assist auto that is really nice. My partner got a really nice Boker dagger. This makes it nice not to have to carry things around and also stops things from ending up in people's pockets. Most of the good stuff is taken to the register for you and held on shelves until you check out. It's also huge! Many floors of knives arranged by brand. From cheap junk to very expensive, hand made items. Smoky Mountain Knife Works has about anything you could possibly what that has a blade. Our fault for poor timing.) Obviously if you’re into any sort of knifes/swords this is a must! This has become one of our favorite stores/stops in Tennessee!!! (We got there a little late so we had an hour or so before they closed. We will definitely be returning on our future trips! We can’t wait until we can fully walk through the store and see everything they have to offer. We didn’t get to check out all of the kitchenware/kitchen knives they had, but from what we could tell they have a wide selection of those items as well. They have a decent size collection of gemstones and minerals. They have a wide variety of historical items from all around the world and all of the wars. If you are into history, gemstones, minerals, etc this is definitely a place you want to check out. Eventually we made our way down to the lowest level and found the “Relic Room”. ![]() We started walking through each story of the store and kept finding more and more things that interested us. The moment we stepped through the door we were overwhelmed with the massive selection of knives. ![]() We had just got done doing some “gem mining” so that intrigued us both on top of them having a big selection of knives. While grabbing lunch I decided to look more into the place and saw that they had the “Relic Room”. My wife and I have always talked about stopping since the first trip we took to Tennessee, but we never got around to it until this past time.
